i hated the old web site just finishing,no email, no nothing , just gone. i loved that place. 5 yrs of looking and posting. i know others done much more but this is me. have sat on there for over 2000 posts, read many more. been drunk, sober, sick, alone, well , thinking i know lots to thinking there are others who do unreal things. have pm many people, been sent gifts, helped a few. fell in love with stuff i was shown. look at my bike today, not the best but not bad. been shown how to polish, how to adjust. so many things. now all gone, vanished. miss some characters, big geordie, thommo, alfa dave. that place got me thru 3 mths of hospital recovery. better than the drugs. now a new place. was reluctant to come and start again. a newbie. got some messages, tipped me into it. thanks fellas. im now hoping this takes off like iannone will in moto gp. thanks heaps to the bloke who never bothered to pick up free can, the bloke who sent stickers n badges and the bloke who collected e mail addresses. youve done a great job. my award to you blokes. anyone else i dont know about, thanks. lets make it work. in 30 yrs a 14 will be thought about as k2 hondas and z1 kawas are now.

big geordi knows about here as ive spoken to him .
ive had a couple of chats with synk and he said he was looking into the getting the old org up and running again but he didn't know how long or when if ever that might be.
i think apart from whats been said already the best thing about here is that it's a truly international forum totally integrated.
i never liked or used the old org being split in to an us or them parts.
this place has took off and going great guns

To be honest, so far not a lot has changed as regards to the community.. Most of the regulars are here. The banter is still fun but most of all the love for bikes thrives..
The only and biggest difference here is.. EVERYTHING WORKS!!!! And when it doesnt, WE FIX IT!!!!.. Sorry, didnt mean to shout! Anyway.. We all agree that it is sad about the old place but Barmy has done a great job of restoring the tech stuff so the important stuff is still there.. We are all still here and will be for a long time..

Thommo is here on this site Grog - he's registered but as before busy busy busy! I agree lots of my life back in the old org, actually over 20,000 posts of mine to be exact but what I like about here is that the main members are around (I've emailed alfadave incidentally but he hasn't joined - maybe in time, who knows), and hopefully I've managed to restore at least the main techie parts.
But to me the forum is much much more - its about long lasting friendships. And on here that is continuing. Who would have thought that one model of a marque would create the forum that is here. Amazing (there's that word again LOL!)
Can't thank everyone enough that has had a hand in getting this site up and running..I know how much hard work it is as I've been struggling to get DTP Forum up and running again since early December last year..We're getting there now though.
