Title: Clocks
Post by: Cykik on Wednesday, 22 July 2020, 05:49 AM
Had a recent issue with mon functioning clocks, extremely dim lcd displays, but leds for mainbeam oil & fi etc are ok. No issues with earths & 12v /5v supplies are good. Problem resolved by replacing clock pcb. Can also confirm that odo reading is held in clock pcb not ecu.

Hi Cykik, Are you saying that you have lost the original mileage? Always thought it would be stored by the ECU with back up power. So your speedo was showing 0 mile once you changed the pcb? 😳

Mileage is definitely held in the PCB, NOT the ECU.

I can confirm that, my clocks were replaced at 12300 for a new 00000 set, 18650 miles ago.

If you still have your old clocks, Tommohawk on here (Paul Thompson on Facebook...https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=683488689) will probably be able to sort them out for you.

I'm thinking the pcb has lost its 5v,
according to the 1400 fb group a failing clock pcb isn't such a rare thing...
