Hi to everyone:
I have my 1400 imported from uk and all odo its on miles i will like changue it to kms.
Anyoone knows if its that posible?.
txs in advance
Doubt it as people never manage to do it the other way.
No - this has been asked before across a number of GSX1400 forums and it is not possible. You will need to look out for a set of km dials to replace yours (eBay Europe?)
Maybe, just maybe, you can buy a new dial face set from ebay, and use speedohealer to adjust your speedo again??

That may work, but I seem to recall that the km to mile layout of the km dials is different to the mile to km layout (in where the figures show on the dash). But worth a try (although the odometer would still be in miles not km's)
Like mentioned earlier:
You can get different dials / back plates for this purpose. There are even dual dials.
The trouble with replacing the mph dial with a km dial is that display it self will still read in miles. That is for total travel distance and both the trip indicators. This is kinda annoying from my own experience.
Agreed that the best option is to swap the complete clock assembly out so everything will read correct.

Then if you can't find somewhere to adjust the mileage it'd be just as annoying for me.
My Bandit is an import from Europe, the speedo dial was replaced so it reads in MPH but the trip reads in Kilometres, it doesn't worry me at all probably because I'm used to Oz and Uk. It good to keep your mind active and it makes you think I have done a longer ride than you actually have.
Honestly officer I WAS only doing 100.... ;)
You can switch between miles and Km's on GSX-R clocks..A pain that it can't be done with GSX1400 clocks :furious:
KMs aren't real though, why would you want them? it's just froggy nonsense.
KPH is real in Aussie. Just how it is. Lived my first 20 years in mph then had to change. It was tough, always converting, never forgotten the equasions. We had mpg, then ks to litre, then litres per 100ks. .62 miles to ks. Speedos with both readings. Now its hard to remember miles, all in ks .
I still work with mph and mpg :onya:

Same here Grog. The powers gave us small stickers to put by or on top of the 30, 40 50 & 60 mph nunbers on speedo's. Think they were a yellowish green triangle.
No doubt you'll also remember when a radio and heater were extra's on a car. I remember the window cards proudly displaying "R&H" in their blurb.
It would be a handy feature as we go to wurope so much but unfortunately not .
When in Rome do as the Roman's do, go with the traffic flow.
Hi to all:
i already have backplates changed to kms and the mesure with gps of velocity its ok.
I still cant change the digital milles to kms, i been reading maybe is posible using service switch connected to central.
Anybody try it?
