My late mother used to tell me to "tell the truth and shame the devil". Good luck with that in today's climate, you'll offend someone. Perhaps we should though! As a very funny upside down comedian says "so what if you're offended, nothing happens"
If people aren't offended then there isn't enough diversity in thought.
Just for a giggle and shock value l have started saying that l am offended when the opportunity presents itself.

I open the door for women then say " sorry hope l didn't offend you" 100% have said "not at all"
Would the same be said if l let the door swing shut in their face ?

On one occassion I opened a door for a woman pushing one of those big side-by-side twin strollers.
By way of thanks she said "Fuck off, I can do it myself".
I felt sorry for her kids, they have no chance.
