I was out today and had the feeling my right leg felt a bit warm, looked down and it was covered in oil.
I hit the kill switch and coasted into a layby I was worried it was something serious, luckily it was just the filler cap that had come off.
The bike is new to me so I had checked the usual things but never the tightness of the oil filler cap.
Luckily I flagged down a passing agricultural service van and between us we cobbled together a fix with a hydro fitting and ptfe tape.
Has anybody got a spare they would like to sell? :whatever:
You could get one of those fancy screw in thermometer?
That would replace the original oil filler cap.
Failing that: new one are available.
The cap about 5.5, the o-ring abou 1.5 euro plus vat and shipping
They are only £8 New plus a seal .
But I'd be very surprised if they are not the same as many other Suzuki's.
If I had one is send it to you .
Good luck .
Update

Thanks Blubber :hat:
Top Tip I was told ages ago (when oil caps were being pinched when the bike was parked) was always to carry an old wine bottle cork under the seat (just make sure you carry one that fits LOL :onya: ) "Just in case"
Surely carrying a spare cap would be a better option in that case?

Some don't want the "expense" of purchasing and carrying an extra cap just in case. Corks cost nothing and most people drink wine (which was more my point for a "get you home" if you get caught out).
It's an occassion if I find a wine bottle with a cork nowadays. :cry2:
All sorted new cap from just bandits, I think I'll stick a wine cork under the seat

Always handy in case you only drink half the bottle while out for a ride :rofl2:
I haven't seen a cork in a wine bottle other than sparkling for years
