Title: New HJC Flip Helmets
Post by: GSXKING on Monday, 22 June 2020, 04:34 PM
Bobbie and I purchased two new :boogie: RPHA90 HJC Flip helmets as our first anniversary gift.  :hat:

I've had a Shark Evoline Carbon fibre for the last 5 years.  :onya: HJC is WAY lighter, quieter and much more plush. They came with pinlocks included in the price and the shop we purchased them from (Race & Road in Rocklea) fitted them for us on the day we bought them. We rode in the rain last Saturday and I was impressed with the seal of the visor, absolutely no moisture made its way in. Being brand new I thought there may be some tightness to start however I'm happy to report there was none.  :tease:

Had my flip helmet now 3 months. Yeah , its good. Still prefer open face around town. Been using opens for over 40 yrs so adjustment is gradual. Love the clicky chin strap adjuster. Much quieter on open road.

In the t first and last pic the model on the left is bit rough.... :)

Good to hear of an affordable helmet being worthwhile.

Will check them out for fit, I've been wearing a shark evo 3 and last week it dropped off the seat and ruined the visor, which is out of stock for god knows how long, so I pulled out my bell flip lid and holy shit is it noisy and draughty compared to the shark, which is noisy compared to my Arai non flip

Last week used open face, really noticed the noise and breeze difference. Glasses havent been sitting down with flip, now solved, bought elastic sports strap to pull them onto face. Mines not HJC but LS2, nice helmet.

Nothing wrong with your missus mate.

Today/tonight tried out flip with glasses held by stretchy strap. Was a great ride. No air in lid, perfect vision, a big step up from open face. 👍
