Post by: Tally on Tuesday, 02 June 2020, 03:08 AM
Bike went in for its delayed mot today and :boogie: passed with flying colours. 1241 miles covered last year between mot's  :clapping:. Might see if I can double the amount this year  :riding: :1400spray:

You need to speak to Notty about how to avoid doing such high mileages.

I snuck in to wales yesterday on my way home from Ross-on-Wye, here's my Ducati on the English side of the border.  Once over the border I didn't stop or talk to anyone just in case the locals turned ugly.  :whistling:

I've just tested my 14 on Wednesday (10.6.2020) and it's done 556 miles in the last year, I really need to start using it. My Triumph Daytona 955i has done 757 MILES since 2018.

Bikes booked in for its M.O.T. On Saturday, she's all prepped and ready to go so there should be no dramas  :notworthy: :onya:

Bike passed with 3 advisorys, rear tyre worn but not illegal , front brake slightly binding and the chain needs a nip up, all do-able on a nice weekend. :onya:

Bike passed MOT today (sat),4 advisories
Need new chain and sprockets.still on the original(2008),20,000 miles.
Light mist of oil on front forks.

Exhaust slightly on the noisy side.
Wheel and chain slightly out of line.
Other than that all is well.

Only problem ever found was that emissions-test showed significant difference between the 2 exhaust pipes, indicating an air leak. New intake-rubbers with o-rings solved the problem.

Definitely worth the MOT that time.

Here MOT is "only" every 2 years.

I'm going to take my bike down for MOT on Monday (10.06.24) 4 years after I put this on the forum and she had 29498 on the clock now so then and she has 30777 now so only 1279 miles in 4 years. I really need to try harder.

Tonythetiger.  Draw a 100 mile radius circle on a map with your house at the epicentre, pick somewhere on the circumference and just go there and back.

D.D.

Maybe contact @Notty for some of the routes he recommends 😳😳
He's an iron butt rider compared to your mileage 😂

I've had to change jobs this year from a long distance truck driver to an UBER  driver due to spinal issues so hopefully I'll find time to get her out of the garage und stretch her legs. The logest ride this year was 12 miles just to get her out.

I'm sure you've heard this before, probably at school but "Must Try Harder" comes to mind.  :whistling:
