Hello All
As a new member id like to say hello to all within the GSX1400 Owners.
Last year i purchased myself a beautiful 07 plate with 6K miles on the clock........due to overseas working, then the typical Scottish weather i didn't have much chance to take the beastie out for a decent hurl.
This recent stunning weather has facilitated doing just that.......super chuffed to have purchased the GSX, comfortable riding position, seat with a fair degree of poke.
Being a rather tall gentleman and weighing in about 120 kgs i was getting tired making my smaller capacity bike work to maintain momentum without me sounding like a hooligan........the big beastie just wafts me along without breaking sweat!!
Confirmed.........a good purchase.
Moving on i look forward to tapping into the members knowledge.......despite my bike being relatively low mileage it does need things doing to it. I do suffer from a degree of OCD and perfectionism.......things need to be sorted from shabby front forks (think the anodized surface is compromised), the engine block has a number of stone chips to the black paintwork.
Anyway......pleased to join and as mechanical engineer with lots of grey hair i will where possible offer my knowledge back into the Forum
Kind Regards
Alan
:welcome1: AMG,everything you need for your 14 can be found on here, I have an 08 and have similar problems, front forks , the lacquer has peeled, side casings as well, stone chips as well, anyway it's always nice to see pics (good or bad)so put some up, let's see what you've got. :1400spray:

Gidday AMG Allan! Welcome aboard mate.
BTW, the forks are suffering from moisture getting in behind the lacquer coating, caused by stone chips etc sand it off & the forks polish up lovely, some guys prefer to paint them instead of polish.
6k, poor thing has been neglected, hardly run in. I'd be checking the age of the tyres too, at 6k they could still be originals!!
:welcome1:
To all things 1402 you've found the right place.

Welcome Alan, great to have you join the forum.
Just a small correction......your hair colour is called 'Executive Silver' ....quite a popular choice with many of the members here.
