Found a polished grab rail deep in the garage (along with Dels wheel spacers) - not sure which to leave on? what's your thoughts? :)
I'm a fan of polished alloy & I think it looks good, but not sure about the grab-handle, so, for me, I'd leave it painted.
No offence meant.

Same with me.
I'd keep the polished one on there as the paint chips way too easily on the painted one - so I'd keep the painted one in cotton wool for if ever I wanted to put the bike back to standard
Have them week about, or swap each ride? :whatever: :imrgreen:

each ride??? that would mean swapping them twice a month !! :rofl2:
It's only a few bolts to spin each time . . .
Polished👍 One day parked up main street. Id just done a major clean on 14, looked lovely. Old biker mate came up for a talk, weve all had that. Only thing he praised was polished grab rail, like the old BSA had he said. I later thought, such a beautiful machine and he commented on the bloody grab rail. Answers your question.
Fit them both :stir: :stir: :stir: :stir:
@Notty I think the black one looks great on your bike! Send me the polished one :) :) :onya:

Ha ha.. if I decide painted you can make me an offer !! :)
$5
Had the polished on for the last few weeks albeit sat in the garage but I have decided Painted looks better - and I found deep blue touch up paint for the odd mark :)
@Milts
Painted mate you know me I hate polished stuff
$6 my final offer :stir: :stir: :stir:
I prefer the polished look, it breaks up all the blue on the arse end. I bought a spare one to polish for mine. I ended up spraying it silver as using the bike for commuting I knew it wouldn't retain it's polished finish for long. I've just refitted the blue one as the bike is up for sale now.
Arrived today :onya: Bling me up Notty :)
Very pleased thank you.

Poo shit crap: I was going to make an offer!
New thought ...... I'll have a go myself, got a spare somewhere. I'm sick of chipped white paint.
Convert, not a hard job to make it look shiny. Takes a bit of time. Paint stripper, get surface flat, work down with descending grades of wet n dry. Polish away. Autosol i use but others have other ways.A good buff wheel set up makes it easy, wear old clothes. Not at all hard to keep nice after done. Occasional rub over.
