Title: Painting Calipers Advice
Post by: Rh4000 on Saturday, 04 April 2020, 10:13 AM
I'm going to go painting my calipers next week, new pads ordered and full rebuild kits for front and rear, seals etc... My questions is what's the best process, what sand paper is best to use etc...
Take calipers off the bike, take out all the seals pots etc then sand to bare metal, maks off the pots etc, paint twice, lacquer twice and rebuild with the fresh seals etc? Leave the bolts in for spraying or take out.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have a read through & look at the pic's in the link.  It'll give you some good tips if you're going down this road.

Seen that thread all right. I'm going to be doing it myself as I've all the bits and pieces got and on lock down so nothing but time..... Just looking for the best methods, sandpaper to use etc.
