Title: Spring is in the Air
Post by: Red Biker on Friday, 17 February 2017, 11:13 PM
How nice is it today!!!
Although it has induced a slight feeling of panic in me as I still have loads to do before the bike is back together :frustrated:

I keep her in a unit a couple of miles away so it's not like I can pop in the Garage every night, I have to snatch a couple of hours here and there at the weekends wife permitting  :smitten:

I'm getting up at 6:00am tomrrow so I can have a couple of hours before my sons football match.

Jobs still to do:
Headers off and sprayed Black of course
New discs on
caliper refurb inc pads and bolts
Braided lines to put on (Black)
Headlight back together after spraying......Black
powder coat fork bottoms...... Grey (well gotta have a bit of bling!!!)
Powder coat 2 x Yokes (top grey bottom and brace in Black)
New Renthal ultra lows (Black) with New grips and Rizoma leavers (Black/Red)
Spray link pipe Black  and new end can (Black Cobra Hypershot)
Change fork oil and seals put back on
Powder coat headlight brackets... Grey
Clocks LED/Lockwood upgrade (send off to Thommo)
New seat striker due 15th March from Japan

Lets hope the frost comes back next week!

Hehe he,  bled my brakes after new braided hoses and went out for a test run to matlock bath this afternoon.
Managed to get all the jobs done while the weathers bin crap.
And I am off work 3 days next week, so I do hope the forecasters get it right for next week. :clapping: :cruisin: :smiley-happy036:

Today was a good day out on the bike, if it's going to get warmer next week that's brilliant, just watch out for the rush in march when everyone taxes their bikes for 6 months.

Us Triumph riders keep our bikes taxed all year ready to ride in all weathers  :whistling: :stir:

Like you Dave - I try to do that but the reason here is known as Raincover is for good reason! and this years we had two major dumps of snow. I used to take the dirt bike out in the snow - that was a blast, but the rain is just frustrating even with good wet gear. The GS does a good job of deflecting the water though.
Roll on Spring, then insure again until November,
Now for a glass of Malbec!!

Well I sure keep mine registered all year too.    Lot down this way don't.  Col from Tauranga would as well.

In the UK we have the option of taxing our bikes for 6 (about £50) or 12 (£85) months at a time.  A lot of lads only tax their bikes for 6 months from march or april.
