Title: Battery died
Post by: Tally on Wednesday, 19 February 2020, 03:41 AM
Went to start my bike this afternoon for the first time since last august, it fired up after a bit of a stutter so I let it run while I checked tyre pressures, oil and checked the brakes weren't seized. I then switched off when I went inside to get changed, came back out ready for a ride , won't start, battery dead as a door nail,  dials do the full sweep , but barely half a crank, so it's on charge at the moment, try again tomorrow and hopefully all will be well  :notworthy:.

The silver lining in that cloud is, now you get to go shopping for a new battery,  :boogie:   let the fun begin.

Long lay-ups aren`t good for any bike. Especially if not even fired-up or moved within that period. Think brakes; electrics; chain; engine oil etc. etc. Trickle chargers rule...... :)

My money is absolutely on new battery being required.  They do that - when they go they just go. No warning.
