Title: ooooh shiny !
Post by: VladTepes on Monday, 17 February 2020, 12:01 AM
Well, I've given my bike a deep clean and it's never looked better since the day I picked it up.

The tank might be even shinier than then.
It got a proper clean, then I gave it the clay bar treatment, then a two stage polish.

I'm very happy with the result

Now all I have to do is oil the chain and go ride it !

Well the consequences of cleaning.

Despite my best effort I must have got water in somewhere where water shouldn't be, as on the way to work I was riding a Suzuki Street Triple 3/4 of the way. Came good eventually though and became a s4 cylinder once again.   Really was running like a POS before that though LOL

Another thing is that this morning the gear change seemed MUCH more difficult with a reluctance to move out of 2nd especially Real or imagined).
It does occur to me though that I am wearing new boots for the first time and they are a bit thicker in the toe - maybe the shift lever needs to be adjusted up a notch.

Id say the boots the gearchange prob for sure. Better have a look at your plug caps, shouldnt do that. Blow out the plug holes also, maybe moisture in there. Didnt someone just nip off end of plug leads. Refit and maybe some dialectric grease needed. Quickest way to blow spark module is a shorting plug lead, is on cars.

Hmm I'll have a look.  I didn't want to have  to take the tank off though coz it might get dirty....
