Damien Cave, often gets the story wrong, dont let the truth get in the way of a good story, his motto i reckon.
The New York Times' accident-prone Australian bureau chief Damien Cave has experienced another misfire.

In Thursday's weekly email to readers, Cave shared the story of visiting Bondi Beach with his family, for a fund raiser for the Mark Hughes Foundation, raising money for brain cancer research.

Hughes, a former Newcastle Knights fullback, started the foundation in 2013 with his wife Kirralee, after being diagnosed with the disease.

Cave told his readers: "We didn't get to know Mark before he died, but we do know his family and the way that his friends, supporters and neighbors have rallied to the cause has been an inspiration."



Dr Mumbo thinks it odd that if Cave really does know Mark Hughes' family as he claims, he was unaware that Hughes is in fact is alive, albeit still needing regular scans, as Nine's Today show revealed this week while covering the same event:

Yep Damien Cave and Matthew Abbott typify the kind of cascading fuckwittery that is the 'man made climate change' camp.
