My poor old cap nearly stuffed, maybe 8 yrs of constant use. Cant remember where i got it. Need another, anyone know where to get one. Can get custom made but usually need 10 or more. Lots of GSXR but not ours. Used to be blue/ black. Not anymore, Qld sun a killer.
There's a guy in the UK on Facebook called Grizzley Adams. He mainly does custom seat covers, but recently he's started suppling other merchandise. I got an embroidered beanie hat off him for Christmas from Mrs F. If you are on Facebook it might be worth dropping him a PM to see if he does baseball caps.
This is a link to his profile.

I seems to remember one of the Aussie guys on the old org got some made like that as I have one the same
@grog - can only remember the surname of woods, he lived around Melbourne way I think? Anyway I know he sold his 14 and moved on (to Ducati's)
@grog if you find somewhere let me know as maybe we can do a small run for merch for the forum.
I also want to get one made for my business and if somewhere affordable for individual/small runs can be found I'd love to know.
Vlad, search Stormboy. In Brisbane, great prices. Located Mansfield.

I have had the privilege of meeting both the the Wood's from Melbourne, Snapey is very friendly with one of them but I think he still has his 14 he is on facebook.

I'd be in that, group buy for GSX1400 caps - bring it on (have to be blue and white though...)
Ok so I've sent an enquiry to 'Stormboy' as suggested by Grog.
The main issue, of course, is how much would people be prepared to spend (not including postage) to purchase a cap?
Realistically it'd be around the AUD $20 mark perhaps a tad less depending on numbers ordered.
I can't afford to be ordering a pile of stock and having people back out.
Fine by me
I think it'll just be the Aussie boys Mike, postage overseas is going to make it a very expensive cap, but we'll see.

Agreed Col, but what was done in the past on the old org (when we were sending stuff down under) was that we used one of the guys in-country as a distributor and sent all the (whatever it was) as one package to that person for distributing in-country. Clearly there are in-country postage costs, but by adding it all together, it still worked out cheaper than posting overseas individually.
Of course there had to be enough interest to make sending one package viable. I'd say for the UK, we'd need a minimum of 10 caps ordered. Cost per cap then would be an algorithm based on cap cost, international postage (for bulk send) and internal country postage.
I'm happy to act as a focal point if there is enough interest from UK/European forum members (although for Euro members, the cost would vary slightly depending on country postal rates).
I'd be interested. Would probably make sense to take either a 'deposit' or the full amount before the order to make them is placed (perhaps PayPal?). At least some incentive to not back out.
I'd happily pay for it upfront (subject to liking the design of course).
OK thanks for the feedback.
Yeah it would have to work as
@gsxbarmy suggests - a pack for all o/s orders (or at least all UK orders) sent to one person for distribution. All OS (or UK) would pay into an account over there - and barmy (or whoever) could then send the total - so only one international transaction - lower fees.
I'll get back to you all once I've worked out a design and pricing with stormboy.
Ta.
KF & I might be in too, if there's a 10 minimum that's 5 each! Oughta see us through for a while. :happy1:
Had som made last year voor a couple of GSX and ex GSX owners. Not ultimate quality but what can you expect for €6.00 a piece
Those caps would look really good on me.
well we wont be getting anything at that price. Not here anyway.
And I'd like something with a bit of quality to it and not just white writing on a black background like that.
Just my thoughts.
Like my Cat Diesel power hat. Geez, I would of had that for . . . . . . close to 45 years! Still around here somewhere, bit faded & held together with staples as the plastic head band clips gave way. Yep something like that, it'll see me out for sure. Remember grandad? here's his hat . . .
Vlad, looking fwd to your design.
Hopefully anything with a graphic of the bike will be in the B&W paint scheme, otherwise the cap will look cheap :stir:
My design? Ah well, don;t hold your breath,
Black and White is fine with me, I'm more into Go and not Show :stir:
Irish, bet Vlad had them put a piccy of a Landrover somewhere on cap design. That is definately show not go. 😎
Nah mate. Didn't want the cap to leak oil.
:rofl2:
At least the cap would be able to anywhere and not limited to the blacktop...
Back in the day l used to help a mate at the speedway. We always used to say "if it dont go chrome it." we hated chrome it got so sbarp if marked. Just used gun blue on the chassis. After the meeting the kids wanted to have their photo taken with the car that had the trophy on the bonnet not the shiney one.
Goes without saying a blue and white cap looks nice but black is fast !! :hat:
