Post by: BJ on Tuesday, 14 January 2020, 06:40 PM
Been considering a straight replacement of the TPS, know nothing about them and have come across
(1) these parts on Mick Hone Suzuki web site.
    16   13580-42F00   THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, SECONDARY   x1      A$113.95
    17   13580-26F00   THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, PRIMARY   x1      A$112.95
Also
(2) this on EBay Throttle Position Sensor TPS-107 A$259
Throttle valve from Tourmax Made in Japan - Total length: 23.3 cm - Height sensor: 22 mm - Width sensor: 38 mm - Width / Height Connector: 19 mm
High quality spare part in original quality.
The shape and function correspond to the original part.

Would appreciate any info re this stuff. TIA

Mick Hone are great to deal with, that%u2019s where I buy all my genuine parts from and they are happy to post too.
The primary tps is on the left(when sitting on the bike) and the secondary ( stps) is on the right.
They do 2 different jobs so I wouldn%u2019t be rushing out to buy both until you fully fault find the system first.
Where are you located? I%u2019m in Melbourne and might be able to help you with some diagnosis if needed.

@grog Have read that the TPS can give correct readings but still be rooted.
Main reason I'm looking at this is I feel my bike is "sort of" surging.
Actually I was thinking of bringing it down to Landsborough so you could take if for a spin to get your opinion. Let me know if your interested. I'm on  0 four 0 three 56 four 56 0.
