watched it and will watch another but nothing new to see, same old format, deadlines broken, budgets broken, paintwork wasn't what "the customer" wanted and that Superminx worth £15,000  :rofl2:

I used to watch BBC programs in Oz, by using a program called Expat it masked the IP address making them think you are a UK resident.

Video wont work for me, UK only it says. Must be Hillmans in it im guessing. My first car, 1955 Minx, amazing car. Tell me where the starter button lives. 1974 had 2 1961 Minx, One overheated and black fellas stripped in 2 days, just shell left, we had left on road. Next one we drove forever, Did Dampier to Mt Tom Price and back in Summer. 1000 k return. Over 40 degrees. Great cars.

@Irish in Oz
I'm sure you can cut the frame on a one off but not sure about the s.v.a. stuff .
This being the cnc all will be legal but not really included in the program as that would affect the flow of the show.
There's normally a disclaimer hidden in the credits .
:cheers:

Seth
Think I found the answer on the DVLA site, PDF file attached. No mention of engineer certificate but I suppose it will depend on the mods, cutting of and welding frame is mentioned.

@Irish in Oz cheers .
Not that I'm planning cutting my bike I am thinking of adding a crossbrace around the rear shock mounts on my tuned bike to hopefully keep it going straighter at higher speeds as it took 3 lanes on an autobahn to go of the clock a few years ago .

I caught up with this yesterday evening, and quite enjoyed it, I was disappointed that it was a one off.
Seems like they're trying to do a Guy Martin flavour Henry Cole/Sam Lovegrove.
Couple of things didn't add up, as they were supposed to be completing the Minx before the end of summer, but trying to complete the bike at the same time, before an October ride - when Summer's well and truly over in the UK.
And they didn't really show what they did to the bike frame, there were sketches showing cutting the rear down, but the action cut just before applying the angle grinder to the head stock area. Next shot the bike was virtually complete.
Wonder how much the Minx fetched....
