Next week they predict Aussies highest temp to be beaten in Central Oz. 50.7 at Oodnatta is current top. I remember Sweaty is off for a trundle. Dont go that way mate or you will be Sweaty plus a bit more. Weve had 47 in the shade where i live. Quite a few beers that day, think it was about ten swims also.
You're going to need a bigger thermometer!
That is farkin hot .... don't envy you guys at all!
OMG - and we sit over here moaning that its been raining non stop for 2 months - take care down there :bugga:
Wow..
That's degrees Celcius... Right?
Just to be sure you use the Metric System correctly down there :P
I remember that the beer company tend to hand out free chilled beers to keep the people hydrated
Yep, all metric down under.
Think from memory it was 10th June 1967 when we changed to decimal currency from pounds.
We were in Death Valley a number of years ago and remember the children putting a chilled beer against the outside thermometer of the motor home to stop it from blowing its head 50+! Good learning curve for them for getting Dad a beverage and break for the driving at the campground!!!!
The AC unit was working overtime!
Bugger using Google, l'm just gonna text you Col :worshippy:

Just had a look Col, it was July not June, least it started with a J.
How hot did it get to on Saturday Grog? Think that was the day they were predicting to be the big heat.
On a similar, but slightly different note, I used to have a big thermometer in the awning of the 5th wheeler, went up to 60 degrees. Arrived one time & it was busted, red stuff spilled onto things under it. Odd I thought, but no worries, I got another & put it up. Paid a bit more attention to it this time & yep, it gets bloody hot in there up at inside roof level, smashed this one too.
So next I start to measure the temp up there on hot days, using the Infrared non-contact digital thermometer (laser temp gun) I use to monitor wheel bearing temps. I was quite amazed to find it was regularly 67 degrees at roof level & was reading 78 degrees on particular day, and it wasn't even at the height of summer. This is inside the awning at roof level on the metal poles.
Just a bit of trivia for ya.
Wednesday the one Col. Not near me, Central Oz. We get around 34 to 36 nearly everyday lately. Not ideal but not too bad. Much better without moonboot.
Sod that for a lark! over 20C is too hot without decent shade.
41 deg C at Tingalpa at Midday today FFFFFFFFNNNNNNNNNNN hot :stir: :stir: :stir:
GSX, exact same here. Mongrel day.
Geez! Temps like that the pubs will run dry!
Col, not sure about the pub but my fridge doing its job. Found a new beer by Asahi, appropriately named Droughtmaster. Takes a bit to sway me from xxxx Gold but its doing its job. Yeah, just a mid strength buyer, i drink too much to be on the heavies all the time.
I start work at 5:30 so I'm up @ 4;30 it was 24 deg C this morning and just kept getting hotter.
Now 5:30pm and southerly has arrived down to a very pleasant 27C lol      :frustrated:
