Title: gsx-1000s
Post by: grog on Friday, 17 February 2017, 07:20 PM
anybody had anything to do with these. i rode one last year. impressed except for snatchy throttle, supposedly fixed now. rack n bag available, a better pillion seat available. maybe needs a radiator guard. not much else i can see. better/noisier can. a good everyday bike you think. can get faired version also. never owned a faired bike. your thoughts gentlemen. seemed to fit me well, loved its riding position. seemed quality also and its a suzuki.

I like them and all the road reports I have red rate them above most of the competition.  It's powerful, naked and a Suzuki, what's not to like?  I sat on the Kawasaki and it's very, very small, the Yamaha has a few more wizbangs but is a fair bit more cash and the Honda is a Honda, nuf said.

I prefer the styling of the Honda myself.

Yeah I know, crucify me !

The Yamaha MT-09 is great fun, haven;t tried the MT-10 though.
I haven't ridden the Honda but I did ride the Suzuki and wasn't overly impressed... nothing wrong with it, just not the bike for me.

Most bikes I ride just reinforce my GSX1400 love !

I like the look of the 2017 "Carbon" model...Having said that I've Photoshopped out the hideous number plate hanger and the pigeon basher wing mirrors :imrgreen:
The exhaust would need to be changed to a nice loud Akrapovic system too.

I'm sure these have all the latest tech... but I just can't bring myself to like the styling  :cry2:

Must be turning into a right old fart!
