Today I had the rare experience of my GSX 1400 been made to feel like it's a 125. Of course the GSX isn't a quick bike and a fair few cars and bikes are much quicker than it but all the fast vehicles I've come across I can keep up with for a little while before they out perform the GSX but today I was behind a Bugatti Chiron. Never have I come across a car that made my bike feel like a 125 like that car. I've even come across an Audi R8 before and even that didn't make my bike feel that slow despite it leaving me but this Chiron was stupidly quick.
Didn't get too far though I just filtered past it at the next roundabout :whistling:
Only when my 14 isn't running right.
I once proved over several tests* that my 14 could stay right with a McClaren 620? (about two year ago, it was brand new anyway) upto 100mph or so. That was a fun ride home.
Bugatti Chiron, a w16 engine with 4 turbo's & 1500hp, yeah, that's gonna do it alright. Apparently it can go over 300mph. More than twice the hp of the McClaren 620.
I got comprehensively smoked by a turbo charged rotary once on my Darmah, not the most powerfull of bikes, but it was way faster than any car I had ever come across before this thing, it was so fast I thought my bike was broken
Sometimes yes, but not very often :cheesy:
Mine never feels like a 125, but it's certainly not a performance bike.
We have various Porsche GT2 / GT3-RS's at work, Audi R8's and McLarens etc. I've also been in a few modded cars that didn't handle but had enough horsepower and grip to out run a 14.
Bikes? Heaps!
You'll find plenty of owners to tell you how they sit with R1's and beat GSXR's on their 14 but in reality there's a lot of bikes that will outgun one with an equal rider.
I like my 14 as something to sit alongside a quick bike.
I'd never own one as my quick bike.
I'd love a quick car one day.
Chiron, Veyron what drugs are they smoking. Can they lean it over in a corner ??????????? :stir: :stir: :stir:
:whistling:
I borrowed a mates BMW K1600GT Luxury 6 cylinder the other day, it accelerates and sounds like a sports car :boogie: :boogie:.
I wouldn't even consider leaning it in to a corner though   :wheelie: :ausflag: :1400spray:
Smoked by a Chiron, Id pay money to see that from behind. My most surprising, posted this b4, Suzuki Boulevard, just like i was standing still. Straight line, 14 had no chance, i couldnt believe it. Was a huge bloke also.Weeks later i saw same bike, turbo as big as a full balloon hanging off it. I expect that performance from all the super bikes but this one just amazed me.

Definitely a Boulevard?
I know local guy with a very quick Turbo Yamaha Warrior cruiser.
It's had both orange and green paint jobs, not sure what colour it is now.
Big turbo hanging off the right hand side.
Could be it Tony, i dont know cruisers much. Sure was quick.
That's the thing though I've come across an Audi R8 before and kept up reasonably well for a short while until the GSX starts running out of steam then the car just shoots off but this Chiron was just mental literally felt like my bike was standing still or even that I had a reverse gear all of a sudden.
Part of me wants to get a stupidly quick bike though if I had the cash I'd get another GSX and supercharge it, seen one on youtube making 200 bhp with a supercharger won't be too great in the bends at speed though with the frame not being designed for high speed cornering but on the straights it'll be mad. But then can lose licence on the GSX as it is let alone if it was supercharged.
Also those Chirons sure do go slow when stuck in traffic.
