Yesterday I rebuilt a set of ohlins upside down forks for a friend's aprilla rsv.
All went very well but I had a bit if bother removing the old fork seal as I didn't think it was right to just chop them out with a screwdriver.
I tried a few different ways and none were very successful and I ended up taking them out with a screwdriver.
So my question can any of you recommend a fork seal removal tool.
Cheers

Hi Seth
I did see someone use a self tapping screw successfully on some video clip.. I thing it was a crank case oil seal on a car tho..
How about:

Thanks
@Speedy1959 I've seen those but couldn't find a UK supplier so they were double the price in your link .
I'll get one of those ordered in the morning
I use a slide hammer with hook end, also for getting steering head bearing shells out.
I've always just used the fork tube as a slide hammer.
@Irish in Oz I have a bearing tool but it didn't go big enough for the seals.
@Hooli I'm the same on the gsx standard forks but these were ohlins upside down forks and they come apart differently (I.e. you don't need to remove the cartridge to strip the forks to change the seals).
Thanks for the input from you both .

I don't deal with such new fangled rubbish as upside down forks...
