This tool (apparently) helps you check and get your chain tension just right. Available on eBay and through Halfords (in UK). About £25. Search using "Chain Monkey by Tru-Tension"
May help those who have problems get their chain tension right.

I have one of these and it does work very well .
The chain tension can change when you go then the axle nut this prevents it by making the chain tight (with built in free play) so it doesn't change.
It's a good add to a tool box but no for out under the seat .
I also use a lazer aligning tool as that saves having to rely on the swingarm marks .
:onya:
How much are they ? :whatever:
Good point Seth. It's pretty easy to set chain tension but very annoying when you torque up the axle and it all goes out of whack again. I usually stuff a rag in the back sprocket to try and keep it all tight, but this looks better.
Mind you £25 does seem a lot for such a simple tool.
@GSXKING :google:
I think they are around £25 in the UK now I got mine during the launch so it was cheaper and I don't know who stocks them in Australia.
But a quick search should find you one.
P.s.
@Mister Fishfinger it would be easy to.make your own but they are good and you can get a bargin as they do discounts every now and then .also eBay is your friend .
QuoteAlso, the black plastic tip that pushes on the chain wears very quickly. I noticed this right away even after the first use.

Read further down the review:
"UPDATE: A webBikeWorld reader pointed out that there is a small and hard to see instruction on the back of the package that reads: "Before you begin, remove black plastic cap from domed nut".
I did not see this and all of the photos or video on the Tru-Tension website show the Chain Monkey being used with the black plastic cap in place.
It's not clear why they would even put the black plastic cap on the domed nut if the cap isn't supposed to be used? The instructions should definitely be more clear about this."
Thank you for reading much further than I did (shame on me ). My excuse: in a hurry for foot peg scraping practice :boogie2:

Wouldn't say that as he has over 620k subscribers and that vid is getting close to 1 million views. Ok, could always be more.
