Well after the 14 has sat in garage for 3 years due to me stuffed back the desicion was made. Both mine and Mrs 1400's now sold. Mine to a fellow ex orgster. Still been a good 40 years of always owning a bike. So it's 4 wheels and leg power from now on. My message to you guys is..... Take care of your bodies and ride ride ride. I won't vanish as even though I don't post much I do like to have a good read on here.

Sad days Taz, but glad you are sticking around as I do like reading your posts.
Take care buddy, and regards to Jax.
Bye then Taz Bloke!! ;) :salute:
Cheers Taz......enjoy your motorcycling retirement.
40 years is a damn fine run.
Sorry to hear that Taz.
I know the feeling, 40 years on bikes in a few months time
and I thought my riding days were over this Easter.
Hope life works out for you and something else can give you the same or similar.
Please do stay around and all the best.
Tony.
Taz, all the best. Im dreading no bike day. Now 48 yrs since first legal ride, add another 6 as we used to sneak onto the road as kids. Can remember your posts from way back. Good Luck mate. Now for you to find another hobby.
Sorry to hear your are handing in your bike pass Taz, I suppose it comes to us all in the end. After 46 years on two wheels I am not looking forward to handing my bike pass in but hope to put it off for as long as possible. Stay safe and stay on the site.
The chap on the left is Patty O'Sullivan, based these days in Hervey Bay, Queensland. A former agriculture specialist most sort after in the grain growing specialty. Took up motorcycling at 60 and has just turned 84. His list of ailments is too long to record here. A quadruple bypass is the most difficult. Both hips replaced and he's still kicking so to speak. So far he has ridden 3 BMW GS800's in to the ground, not even trade in value when he's finished with them. Always happy and loving life, he is an inspiration. :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:
Who is the old bloke on the right??? :)
Wow I'm touched so many comments thanks guys means heaps. Bloke came today to buy some bike gear Heck in his 70's and going strong. Just goes to show its luck of the draw when bike days are up. As said not vanishing you always know when I post as normally complete crap or off topic hahahaha. Made some good friends on the org. Mind you when biking stopped lost quite a few hhhmmmmm no comment on that one..... If anyone ever in the cotswolds doors always open for a brew here.... I talk shite for real as well as type it hahaha
@Notty another long time friend of mine Elio Marzullo he is 55 years young :boogie: :boogie:
Sorry to hear the chapter has closed for you.
Hopefully there is somrthing satisfying out there to fill the hole.
Take care.
Pete.
Sad to hear, I hope you find something rewarding to fill the void.
I recently listened to a podcast interview with Andy McNab (ex SAS, the guy who wrote 'Bravo Two Zero'). He said they had a motto in the special forces - 'if you're breathing, you're winning'. Stuck in my mind, that did.
Fishy, not sure if i made this up, probably someone else but i like vertical against horizontal.
Taz, you gotta do what you gotta do friend, I very reluctantly gave up biking several years ago due to being scared shitless on a diesel covered bend, how I kept upright i'll never know, but that totally did it for me, being a fat old retired twat, I don't bounce or mend like a teenager, so decided to quit whilst still ahead!! Can you begin to imagine life after a tumble & doing damage well into retirement??
HOWEVER, I like bikes don't I, so, I started buying wrecks & tarting them up, absolutely love it, the worse they are, the more I like em,
I don't profess to be good at it, but they look ok from 10 m away, just enjoying, so if your bikes are gone, why not turn your attentions to other interests, even things you know nothing about, all the info on stuff you can think of is out there in internet land, so go have a change of direction. :smile2:

Generally yes, but I'm quite fond of horizontal in the right circumstances.
