Completely new to me. What's the idea then? ultrasonic?   like shouting at the bits and the dirt falls off?

Sort off, high frequency in a tank of magic fluid and dirt/grime just dissolves
Brings old carb bodies up like better than new

I have one, mixed results depending on corrosion etc. for better results I use hot water and detergent or even some phosphoric acid in tank.

A mate of mine in Oz bought this one and gets good results, it will take 4 carbs.
Mine is only 3 litre and I takes 1 carb or 2 small.
