Great Video Froudy, very informative & I'm sure it'll help lots of people. I've made it a sticky.
Nice one Steve - now I know where to come :)
Brother in Law sent it to me..I thought it would be handy :onya:
I did try to head it "Tech tip", but not sure how to??
No problem Froudy, it's not an option you can select, only Mods & Admin have access to that heading.
Sorry Col, snatched that from you
Good video but does he do one where the bolt has broken flush or above the surface? He's also a very lucky man when the studs come out so easily with the stud extractor.
I want to see him get a bolt out that has seized in the thread and broken flush but jagged with the surface. You know the one ... it's usually in the head of a 1402cc motorcycle and needs to be drilled and tapped because the stud extractor will break if you use it.
He does show that in a couple vids. Preferred method: weld a nut on it (with a nice super-glue cheat). And if you break an extractor he shows you how to get on with that.
Check out his playlist on "How to remove broken/damaged bolts".
