Title: Belly pan
Post by: Rbw on Monday, 22 July 2019, 01:16 PM
Can anybody help, I bought a new belly pan for my baby ( gsx 1400) but how the hell do you fit it, I can get the bottom 2 screws in but the top is about 3 inches to wide, the 30 mm female to female links they give me are to short, I'm I missing something??
Some second hand ones I've seen on eBay have jubilee clips round as a fitting ade ,
I'm a confused gsx 1400 user from Evesham 😢😢😢😢👍

I see this is your first post, a bit of an introduction to you and your 14 would have been appreciated in the Introductions section http://gsx1400owners.org/forum/index.php?board=20.0

Getting to your issue, a picture of your bellypan would help, as some fit different to others. Or tell us the make. Both preferably. Also - was this a new or second hand pan?

For the top fittings, normally there are angled brackets that fit behind the engine mounting bolts. Others can fit around "P" clips in the frame.

Pictures would help as then those with a similar pan may be able to help.

To help you can you tell us the make it is as there are several types .
I can provide pictures of the mountings for mine if yours is the same kind as it's off the bike just now so very easy .

Good luck
