God help me but i have the urge to do a trackday on the gsx , cadwell's quite local to me so watch this space
Plenty fun to take 14 on a track. Enjoy.
The deed is done im booked in for evening session at cadwell on the 5th of august, opted for inters as i don't think its fair i embarrass the lads who think there fast in the fast group
Sounds like fun. Enjoy
Enjoy Mate. I hope you pass someone.
I've seen a couple of 14's do track days. They aren't ideal or in their natural environment, but just like the Busa's and B-Kings that do the same, a good rider can put in an impressive performance show up a few sportsbikes.
Have fun and I look forward to your reporting back.... :onya:
I have ridden my GSX @ Queensland Raceway, it sucked thru 21 litres (i.e. a whole tank) in three 20 minute sessions. It is definitely great fun passing sportier bikes on the corners then they blast past on the straights. I borrowed fuel to get to the servo and fill up again for more to complete the day.
Tony's right they're not meant for it but have a go.
My bucket list is to ride a GSX around Isle of Man.
@GSXKING sure you don't have leak in the fuel hoses :stir: That track must be a fast one with long straights?
Normally I do 3-4 X 20 mins and end up around 2-3 bars left. Any (performance) mods on your bike?

Yes long straights and when full throttle for long periods 1400cc sucks a lot of fuel and air :onya: :onya:
Done a couple of track days at Pukekohe.
Aussie blokes will know the layout as its one of the V8 Supercar rounds.
First one l arrived with a full tank and finished the day early as the bike started starving for fuel.
Second time l was brimming with fuel and took 5 litres in a can. As soon it would take the 5 litres l put it in. She's a thirsty girl.
The 14 is no rocket but its fast enough to have a lot of fun on.
@ouch it's now the 12th August. How did trackday go ???????? :boogie:
The very sad fact of tge matter is i didnt get to go
I crashed my gsx600f 3 days befire trackday and put some extra holes in me that shouldn't be there!
So i couldn't ride , i rang the company and asked if they would give my place which was already paid for to the first reserve so they could have a freebie .
Once im healed will be looking to go out later this month/early September
