It is good to see so many familiar names here from the old .org although I have not met many of you personally. Some of you may remember me â€" although there were not that many posts they did have a lot of words in them :)
I’ve been hanging back for a bit to see what develops, perhaps out of some sort of loyalty to the old site but this forum seems to have achieved critical mass and is currently the one and only place to be for news, views and help. I hope I can contribute in some small way.
For those that don’t know me I have owned my GSX1400K3 from new, purchased in September 2003. I’ve clocked about 36,000 miles on it (it has to compete with other bikes for my attentions) and a lot of those miles have been done on the continent.
Also in the garage are a 1983 Z1300 and a 2009 Z1000. Oh, and now something else but I’ll post separately about that
Stay safe and long live the GSX1400 community.
Welcome onboard fella :onya:
:welcome1:
it doesn't look like the old org is coming back anytime soon if ever
your input was welcome there and is also very welcome here to .
glad you found this place

Welcome to the forum Rynglider, I remember when the Z1300 fist came out, have you had it from new?
Hi Pete. Good to see you here. Enjoyed your trip reports and photos on the old Org. Looking forward to more of them on here. Ride safe.
:welcome1:
Some more photo's of your Z1300 please RG :onya:

I'm going to let you off the hook as I have only the 14 so it gets all my attention. Mines a K7 with 104,000 kms on it. Over 40K of those are mine in the last 4 and a bit years.
P.S. Your other bikes? Nice!
Hi Rynglieder, great to have you aboard. I too enjoyed your trip reports & pics. Loved your Garmin battle!
The GTR looks fab, you & Stoli will be besties then.
Before anyone asks... no there won't be a Kawasaki 1400 sub-forum... :rofl3:

Yes, back in 1983 the wife said that as it would be the last new bike I would have (WRONG!), I may as well go to the top of the range.
33 years on it has survived the mortgage and kids although I have had to throw a bit of money at it over the last couple of years.

No problem, (sorry about the external link but it is quicker than adding them to my posts until I get used to it).

Thanks too to my two Kiwi friends for their comments, if there was any interest in the old trip reports being re-posted here I may be able to do it from the text copies given time.
Hopefully there will be fresh stuff in the future although it may be on the new GTR.
I'm just about to start making plans for this summer, Netherlands / Denmark / Sweden / Germany is looking favourite, although Spain & Portugal is an outside bet.
Summer is for riding, winter is for planning to ride
Hi Pete, glad you came aboard... we must do another ride this year, maybe to Dom's.
See you soon bud

Ah, now I've got you Chris - new Org, new name!
Yes, it would be good to catch up again, I'll see if I can work out how to PM my number to you.
Pete.
Welcome :smile2:
How could WE forget!
