Title: Combination fuel filter & pressure regulator
Post by: SPanna on Thursday, 30 May 2019, 06:19 PM
I've been reading posts about replacement HP filters & methods to install but the pressure regulator needs to be kept to provide 43psi to injectors. I have found this alternative filter/regulator which will fit the bill. It's for a 1.8lt fuel injected polo 3bar rail pressure. Just install in series with pump outlet using hose , job done... I think.
Here is the link.

What do you guys think?

A similar thing was posted just the other day, FB or here I'm not sure but I think the setup a lot of us now have is about as good as you'll get. Maybe if your pump or regulator shits itself then look for an alternative but I certainly won't be changing what I've got.

I don't think so as it has connections for THREE hoses. I assume one is for the fuel-return-to-tank from the regulator.

Thanks @Snapey

Ok, it's an in-tank mod. Why he used braided lines....  :whatever:

@mlivkovich you opened up the OEM HP-filter casing. On FB the guy is talking about the OEM being paper-filter?  I thought HP-filter is SS. Teabag is certainly plastic.
