Previously bought a GSX1400Z new, and turbo'd it. Made 178hp at the tyre.
Keen to do round two if I can find one that doesn't have a million kms and isn't a junkheap or a billion bucks. I only paid $11k new so paying $7k 10-15 years old with 70k on it spoils my love of the idea very quickly.
As a result not overly excited with many of the current offerings on Gumtree or bikesales unfortunately!
Welcome :hat:

Welcome Sifty! Nice to have more turbo bikers here. What kind of setup do you have?

Nothing wrong with 'high kms' mate they last forever-ish.
Good to see you again
Welcome mate.
Good luck with your search.
Ok so I'm back properly now, just bought one I was happy with despite the mileage.
My old setup replaced the centrestand, was all budget and home made with a cheap turbo and mostly stock or second hand components, amd made 178rwhp.
This one will be similar but with a little more finesse and hopefully crack the 200rwhp mark without sacrificing too much of the bike's normal good manners.
Welcome Shifty. If you did old skool before, looking fwd to your new project.
Welcome back

Sounds like a big project & 1 we'd all be interested in watching. Would you put up pics of before during and after? I know everyone would appreciate it.
Welcome and yes pictures!
So some pictures of my old setup.
First dyno run, stock fuel system and ran out of injectors.
A comparison of the power on this run vs stock.
A comparison of the torque on this run vs stock.
Second dyno run with upgraded clutch, but ran out of fuel pump.
Picture of it relatively completed.
Picture of turbo location during the original build.
WELCOME BACK!!
