Rode home from work last night in the pissing rain.
google translate: "Pissing rain". (Australian --> English) "Torrential, teeming"
Got so0aked through as did my new(ish) gloves which did a lovely job transferring the dye from the leather to my hands. I looked like the bank robber who got the money dye everywhere.....

Not good.......
Has anyone found a truly waterproof pair of gloves ?
Dude, i think the term 'Pissing Rain' is universal......
'Pissing it down'
'Pissistantly Pouring'
etc etc etc

I have a pair of waterproof (yes truly waterproof) over mitts that I carry (the new bike does get wet lol) very thin, go over your gloves and very effective.
I'll have to find something like that.....
these are the ones I have

Fold up nice and small to go under the seat as well
Proteous yeah I know mate I was just having a bit of fun :)
Thanks barmy.
anyone know if these would be any good?

I tend to use two fingers to cover the brake, with other two fingers and thumb on the throttle.
They look very similar to what I have for mine Mike, you could get that style or the mitt style, I chose mitt style.
i find its hard to get a good set of gloves that keep out of rain .. but a pair that you can feel the bike ,, if there to thick you cant feel the bike
and to thin and there no good for the cold wet weather
ET pinkies there Mike. They look like sultanas!!
I decided to get another pair of RST heated gloves. A lad I know was selling some and I picked them up for a steal.
Some of you might remember that I bought some last year, but returned them unworn when I read that the batteries had to be removed in the wet. This proved to be rubbish and was just the battery manufacturer covering their arses. My mate wore them in the rain with no problems at all.
Due to my operation I haven't been able to try them out yet as I haven't ridden a bike since before Christmas :furious:
froudy
id like to know how you get along with them and how good they really are cheers  :onya:
I much prefer these over gloves as I dont like the mits

That review is scathing !
I'd certainly prefer that style, but not so much that price.....
Maybe I'll just put up with getting my gloves wet....

Coat them in RTV! Waterproof & windproof! Cheap too :imrgreen:
Or do the cheapskate way, 2 plastic bags held over your normal gloves with elastic bands..... :salute:
i was going to say same Barmy. couple of bags under seat, only surefire way.
Also, hows about spraying your hands with silicone water repellent, so, if your gloves do get wet, your hands stay dry??? Aye? Good or what!
I have a pair of oxford gloves which have proven to be perfectly waterproof, don't know if you can get oxford gear where you are.
I remember back in my early days of riding i was useing some crappy cheap gloves and i was on way to the dragon rally.. (Febuary rally in wales) very cold and very wet.. So i decided to wear a pair of latex gloves to help with heat and moisture......
What a mistake... first stop we made i found i had more moisture inside my glove than i had on the outside.. My hands looked like prunes due to the sweat but i hadnt even seen any rain at that point....
Dont do it people, dont do it..
proteous, yeh i thought i was being smart with same trick as you, same result.

Actually - you can - its quite a short slanted screen that bolts on in place of the upright one :onya:
Or you could buy the Tiger Sport of course, which comes with it already as an option
Do the new Trumpets still require a drip tray ? :stir:
Nope, for new Triumphs the drip sits on the rider's seat.
Harsh Mike, harsh.
You can go off people.......

You mean like this one I prepared earlier.
That's the one! :onya:
It's a great bike, had it for 2 1/2 years but you can never have too many bikes.
