Title: Adjusting brake light activation
Post by: Clarence Bodikker on Sunday, 21 April 2019, 12:05 PM
My brake pedal does not activate the brake light. I can see that there is too much slack in the spring. Is there some trick to accessing the adjustment mechanism or do I have to dismantle half the bike to get at it?

I think you can take off the right hand foot rest completely and this will help you to get to the brake switch a bit better mate

If you are lucky or the threads or clean... You can turn the plastic adjuster nut behind the right hand side foot rest.

It's a fiddly job.
If you do remove the footrest hanger and the two springs come off it's a right b*tch to get them back on again. I cleaned and adjusted mine while the rear wheel and swingarm was out earlier in the week :onya:

Grip the spring with needle nose pliers and bend it a little to take up the slack  :mwink:

That. It's adjustable to suit people moving the lever to suit themselves.
