Title: Power Commander PC-V Grounding
Post by: V_i_c_i on Monday, 13 February 2017, 05:28 PM
On old forum was photo (from Maverick I think) where connect PC V grounding direct to ECU grounding.
Have someone from you this photo downloaded? I do not want it search in wiring diagram.

Hi Vici :)
Here are the pic's of the grounding point close to the ECU on K5-K7 taken when i started to tryout where so ignore my isolating solution .

Today i have done it more professional If it's hard to see witch wire it is black with a a white trace.

One photo for you Maverick for my peace of mind. Can you please check my wiring. Maybe it will help other. Thank you much.

(https://gsx1400owners.org/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg25.rajce.idnes.cz%2Fd2503%2F13%2F13771%2F13771459_00edf1dae49578e41493bd92a5252f71%2Fimages%2FIMG_1067.jpg%3Fver%3D0&hash=c9856c0cabe17e0097e6b029fe5d9b94174e3d5d)

But how to connect ****ing TPS wire. There is no room for my fingers.  ??? You connected it near TPS with the help of "spy connector" supplied in the kit with PC V?
There is next option. Connect this ****ing wire direct to ECU. Because this pink wire with black dots is going directly to ECU. But how to remove this ****ing grey wire without too much damage the insulation of the wiring harness.
If succeeded this second version, there can be inserted some nice 2 PIN sealed connector for this ****ing wire and "your" grounding wire. That would be almost professional solution.  :clapping:

You have to take the pink/ grey tps connector of the pcv harness apart.

You push the grey bit on the correct wire ( out of sight, somewhere under the tank)

Screw on the pink tube and then screw in the piece with the wire.

I have the instructions in the shed... I will post a picture of it soon.

So I modify PC V wiring harness and take out TPS wire on the same place as ground.

And connect TPS direct to ECU. Now just fit some 2 PIN connector to PC V and to ECU.  :onya:

Nice  :onya:
I bought a extra connector (male and female) as the one that connect the Tps to the main wiring and solder in the wire there so i easy can remove it from the bike if needed.

Can send more photos if you want. Including bracket for PC V and Autotune and connecting autotune too. But now I wait for connectors to finish my job.

Started to do a complete write up on mounting a PCV on our bikes but i cant find all my pic's how i mounted mine so i will go out next weekend and take some shoots of that plus connect my PCV to the computer to show the afr tables to .
But those that have a PCV mounted can you send me pic's of how you have mounted yours so i can show different types of doing it in the write up, V_I_C_I for example your mounting bracket, lambda position or other things.
You can send them to   magnus.sn.el@gmail.com  and i will put all info and hopefully make it easyer for all to do the same as we have done :) :).

Cheers Maveric

And got the email  :notworthy:.

Start tomorrow to finish the write up as i'm home with a injured shoulder (not the one i smashed when i put the big girl to it's side almost 2 years ago) so i got the time to put it together and i will port it here as a new thread  :).
