Title: Sneaky speed camera set up in Wales
Post by: Mick_J on Monday, 08 April 2019, 08:29 PM
Went out for a ride yesterday and saw a speed camera van on the side of the road on the Usk road, no problem as I was behind another vehicle so was well under the limit.  Got clear of the camera and other vehicle and got on with my ride, two miles later as I was just entering Usk another speed camera van.  I was not speeding at this point but I am now hoping they haven't done an average speed calculation between vans, sneaky bastards.  Just have to wait for the postie now.  So if you are out and about in South Wales just keep an eye out for speed camera vans hunting in packs.

I don't think they do average readings between camera vans...
They're probably working on the assumption that after passing the first one, you'll feel safe and that you'll open her up and then get caught by the second one.

They try every tick in the book to generate revenue :furious:

I ride both bikes often, both quick. My car is a 1.6 Corolla, very slow. Guess which got pic sent last year. 77 in a 70 zone going uphill, mighty Corolla. I found it hard to believe, all about distraction, great stereo in car, bike is pure focus. Reason one why no music in my helmet.
