A rare and perhaps tricky enquiry regarding the harness connectors to the instrument panel.
On the face of it a simple job, but its a flimsy board littered with electronics and so not east to get a firm grip whilst pulling the connectors free. The connectors themselves are small and very tightly attached. Cannot be prised off for fear of damaging the board, and the effort required puts much pressure on the board also. An awful job.
Anyone out there worked on these?
Hi Rod, I've not worked on them myself, but how about some penetrating oil spray on them? Clean them up later with contact cleaner.

Thanks Col. You know that if it don't budge get a bigger hammer! but in this case I had to think about it. As it turns out there are harness connectors in the headlamp and I'm optimistic I can undo these and slide them out through the hole in the instrument housing.
this will alleviate the need to pull the connectors from the flimsy circuit board.

Personally - I'd undo the connectors in the headlamp and slide them out the back such that when you remove the 2 allen screws holding the instruments to the top yoke, the instruments come away from the bike completely. That way you can safely (and more easily) strip down the instrument cluster.
I found the easiest way to remove the instrument allen screws with everything in-situ was to have the yoke on full lock one side, take out the allen screw, then swap to the opposite full lock etc,
I thank all who have responded. I have concluded that separating the harnesses in the headlamp is the go.
I'm getting on and hand strength is gone. I'm finding the the big blue connectors impossible to separate, so I must wait until a set of strong hands come to my rescue. 😀😀
All of those multi wire connectors have locking lugs that either need pressing or lifting to separate the two parts.
