So a few more dark bits and front end off
Monocycle eh? Interesting mod

Looks like a viper seat to me. ( that's what the label says) :imrgreen:
Leaves forum to search Viper seats......
Hi Guys,
Well spotted Blubber! it is a Viper seat from P&P in Birmingham, it was too low originally but has been raised
by Inch and a half an spot on now, Forks are going away to be Coated same colour as swing arm.
The longer i see it without an exhaust the more I like it! if I coould make do without I would but I have a duel hypershot on the way so looking forward to seeing how that looks. The exhaust has tips that can be coated so they're going the Anthracite colour as well :onya:
No luck on the Viper search, bugger.
Bike looks great btw.

Hi Dave,
I was going to post the Link for P&P but doesn't seem to be working right now! You can always give them a call.
I paid £220 but then was able to sell my OEM for £100, they have a choice of materials.
NB if you do sell your seat remember to remove the 'stiker' attachement first Unlike me!!!
Thanks for help folks, while looking a link came for a place in Melbourne, keeping the cash local is always a good move I feel.
Handy thread...I could do with a higher seat on mine :onya:

Surely Steve a man of your skills can do that - seem to recall you redid a seat before?

I agree. Best seats I've seen are by John Moorehouse in Brissy :)
Managed to get a bit more done today,
All four Dow pipes are off now.
Also yokes and bars now off.
Anyone got a link for the tool head to remove ignition security screws?
Cheers Red
Looking a bit sad !!

One more query I have, having looked at the new gasket kits on e bay they include copper ring seals but having removed the down pipes mine didn't have these so assume non essential?
Cheers
Ted

Really? Then someone missed them out - what seals DID you have in there between headers and the head itself - as there should have been something "Ted", if not then I can't see how your headers were not blowing.
I would strongly suggest you check closely for if a seal is stuck in against the head - they can be very hard to see sometimes, and not unknown to flatten and have to be prised out - but if you really DON'T have any - then I would most strongly suggest that you DO need to get and fit some!
Thanks Dave,
Me and my mate both had a feel and couldn't see anything there! but I'll have another poke to double check.

Even Batman has holes in his mask Dave!
Hoping I don't regret going for a splash of colour!
Just to get back on track Dave, feast our eyes on my new clocks!
If it shines it is not my friend
Damn it! missed the headlight off, hopefully by end of March the only chrome/alloy on show will be the springs and bobbins which will have to wait until next year as I've had enough of this modding malarky!
Strangely (for me) I have to say that I actually like the clocks in black, they do look good!

Ditto on that , but its also the white lockwood dials that help make them look good, I dont think they would look as good with the original dials
Very Nice indeed - I did my headlight last year - think Ill be doing the clock housing as well - Del :onya:

Hi Tall,
It's that contrast I like, agree the Black dials wouldn't look quite the same IMO :onya:
nice work Ted
looking forward to pics of the bike when its back in one piece again

red did you fit the lockwood dials yourself in the clocks and if you did was it hard to do and have they got the gear change in them thinking of doing them myself with the lockwoods or going with the full gear change mod if I can find who does them.
paul (tommohawk) does them
he's a member here so give him a shout spizzoil . :onya:
Tommohawk comes highly recommended :onya:
He changed my LED's to blue for me. Very quick turnaround time and they look cooler than penguin p*ss :8:
hi spizzoil yes the clocks are easy to do ,, just take your time and there no problems .. i did mine with out any forum as i didnt know of the old one at the time and i just read the book on how to take them apart :onya: you just have to make sure you make the dials and needle at the set point of the start
i am almost sure there was a how to do after i did mine on the old org ,, so not sure if it made it over to the new site but am sure some one will have seen it :onya:

Hi Spizz
It was Paul who fitted the Lockwoods, too delicate a job for me, I've had the led upgrade but not gpi as not a priority for me personally. £103 done in a week
but you send him the clocks in plastics not pudding bowls
If you want a guide on what's involved doing it yourself there is a fitting guide on the Lockwood site.
Red
I think I still have the Lockwood fitting instructions if you need them Spizz :onya:
Thommohawk recently did mine too, top bloke, knows his stuff.
I opted to have mine hydro-dipped carbon to match a few other parts.
Ian
Thats a pretty cool finish Ian. Never seen or heard of it before.
Very nice Ian they do look good in carbon!!!
The black clock surround with the white dials looks bloody fantastic, good choice :onya:
Yeah look good Ian, if the stone chipping does for my paintwork that will be my next move
Picked these up yesterday along with fork bottoms, so can see light at the end of the tunnel!
Cheers Red
looking great Ted :stir:
i can't wait to see it finished as i think it'll be stunning
:onya:
Picked the forks up last night which have now been serviced and bottoms Powder Coated.
Strange thing is the guy who serviced them told me one side the oil was like sludge but the other was like Prosecco!
Not sure what that says other than at some point one has been serviced but not the other !!
It was good going around right handers though :clapping:
Red Not Ted :onya:
Nice new powder coat..Very nice :onya:

they look great the clocks and the forks nice work :onya:
Thanks MrG really looking forward to seeing everything back on the bike
So finally got to wheel her out of the garage today, I felt like Dick Van Dyke in that scene from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where he emerges from the shed to reveal the Car!!
Mods to numerous to mention but inc
Disks, lines, pads, bars, grips, clocks and lots of spraying 🤘
And yes I have sorted the headlight out now 🙏
Red
looking fantastic buddy :onya:
love the high beam seams a shame to sort it
:stir:
What a faff Seth, out of everything I've done the headlight has been the biggest headache!!
Think the Japanese must have smaller fingers 👇
Red
worth it in the end tho as it looks great
Looks great even if it is the wrong colour ! Lol :smile2:
Straight up Northerner Notty, none of this girls blouse B&W nonsense for me 💪
It is very "Bleck" innit....
Love it :boogie:
Fifty Shades of Black !! :onya:
Did wonder if I'd gone too far with the Red!
Very happy with how it looks, now for some riding 👍
way to much red they'll get dirty to quickly and you'll have to paint them black :stir:
Very nice - but the grab rail looks like you haven't touched it in the pictures. Is it Gunmetal? Not polished? Just dull? Just doesn't seem to match the rest which goes together very well - or is it the picture not doing it justice?
Can we have photo from directly behind please?
Well done Red! There's a lot of 'Black' there - a hell of a lot of work too. Great job. :hat: Looks a mean machine, sinister & intimidating.
Great job Red, all that's left to do is ride it and keep it clean

Hi Dave,
No flies on you!
The grab rail I'm going to powder coat in the Anthracite, I was going to go Black but last minute change of heart then ran out of time/patience 😩

awesome job, from a blue rider that is top praise. just like a stealth missile, love it. yeah, fix grab rail . not sure on red calipers but your bike. top job fella. i hope you have a black helmet, even i do.
Thanks, I appreciate it even more from B&W owners.
Lol I do indeed have a Black lid Grog, I kept it easy for me to remember K5 same as the bike 😎
However do need a Black jacket now as
my last bike was Blue!
Dianese Fraser looks nice and stealth like 👽

@ Daveh
Cheers, looks ok for a golf trolley, I was hoping for the wheelbarrow.
How a bike looks from behind is important to me because that's how I mostly see them.
I'm not a fan of duel exhaust myself Dave, just excess baggage 🤘
Plus doubles the cost!
