Hey there folks! :)
First of all, thanks Mike for approving my candidature! :hat:
I'm Sebastien from this Island of Mauritius and a happy owner of the big Suzi. Been dreaming of owning one for a decade and finally got my hands on her, which is quite rare since only 12 of them were sold in Mauritius. The bike actually suffered from spending more time sitting on her stand than being ridden (Slight corrosion and usual ageing Suzuki stuff).
I've got a K5 acquired on 25th September 2018 with 21,777 kms on the odo (sorry friends, you're gonna have to bear with metric system here), which I believe are true since the rear Bridgestone BATTLAX was dating from... 2009. Purely stock apart from a damaged - and soon to be replaced - Yoshimura slip-on. Seems to be a R77 and from what I know, R77's are not destined to go on 14's.
Well, 26,900+ kms today and a few mods made so far, mostly "back to stock". Any comments welcome and open to positive criticism! Cheers and ride safe! :onya:
how do fella welcome to the forum
Del :onya:
Gidday mate & welcome to the forum. I'd be binning those tyres too, just too old. Enjoy the bike! - we all do!
:welcome1:
I'd bin the tyres and you'll be amazed how well it is then .
Welcome :hat:
Welcome Mate.
Welcome - Croeso :)
Thank you very much, Gentlemen!
These are actually brand new Continental ContiRoadAttack 3's from last week (amazing tyres, without the Michelin pricetag) Because I did swap the 9 years old rear BATTLAX for another of the same, but was completely worn after 3,800 - 4,000 kms. Blame it on the lovely torque! :)
:welcome1:
Welcome aboard & nice looking 14
Hey welcome along. Pleased you are enjoying your bike.
As you say ........we all do
hi there and welcome
welcome!
Latetsorpa, had a look at where you live, certainly seems a nice place. Paint on your bike, is that original?
Welcome to the forum Sebastian. :onya: Interesting colour.
Welcome

Yeah, never seen that colour before but I like it.
Welcome aboard - when 3/O on Canberra we lost an anchor and all the chain just off Mauritius - may be you found it!!?? - it only weighed 70 tons.

Stan
Thanks for the warm welcome, friends. :imrgreen:
It wasn't that colour from stock as no grey ones were ever sold in 2005. I guess the ex-owner had it painted in that Bandit-like grey after a slide. I'll actually paint in white/blue/blue like the K2/K3 versions when the time comes as it is to me the very best for the 14', with light bronze/gold wheels, the same shade as the stock front calipers.
Stan, sure I'll look it up!! ;)
Grog, yes it is, thanks! You and any of you are most welcome to PM me if you even come for a trip in Mauritius (I'll need hands for Stan's anchor!)
Last minute sunset ride with my cousins, Didier on his super clean K6 (makes me a tad jealous!) and his son Ashley on a Can-Am Spyder 1000 (Not jealous at all!).
The mountain in the background is Le Morne Brabant. Terrible life quality, isn't it?
Yeah, it looks like a crazy, busy lifestyle over there Latetsorpa
Nice pics :onya:
I remember my time ashore there - beautiful beaches!!
When on the chemical carriers we used to load Molasses - can't remember which port berth though.
Nice photies!
Wish i lived where you live! Sun sea and sand!
Lovin the bike.
Bienvenue! :8:

Thanks again guys for the compliments! and sorry for the super late reply, was a bit disconnected lately.
@Globalrider , That was Port Louis, capital city and only port of Mauritius!
