Ok my insurance is due for this year
Is due on 8th March
Currently with M.C.E. Insurance
Renewal came in at £134 fully comp .
Emma did a quote for me via quidco a cash back site .
Renewal now £101 with £24 cash back result as been with them a couple if years so know what I'm getting .
Easiest year I've ever done for a renewal as it's usually a nightmare.
:clapping:
P.s. same cover as I had in the past.
Hastings came in at £87 with some cash back but needed to pay extra to get the same cover as I had.
I reckon that is cheap, the 1200 bandit is about 120 and we probably pay a little more than the mainland.
Now when I think of Australia $450 (about 240 quid) for a green slip and that's before you get your comprehensive insurance.
Then back in the seventies as a teenager I was paying about 325 quid for a 400 fully comp.
Mine is $276. $600 excess. Youi. No riding gear, just bike,
Paying €560 third party only on the 14.
Had to insure the 14 even tho it's not driving or my no claims discount would of been gone.
I wish I could just contact Bennett's to insure my Kawasaki that's being delivered tomorrow morning.ive been trying to ring them for 2 days now and constantly put on hold in line,,gets to the point I hang up and try later only to get the same thing again and again..I've now sent them an email asking them to call me back, very frustrating when I've already set it up last week and just calling to make the payment, grrrr.

That's about 150 quid.
My last insurance on 14 in Oz was about $350 full no claim, although Queensland insurance and greenslip is a little lower than NSW. Add the two together $800 or about 430 quid.
Mines come in at £74.48 fully comp, 10yrs NCB with extras from Devitts :boogie:
Mine is around $3000 / £1,600 a year.
That's what happens when you own a bloody big shed full of bikes Tony ;)
Hope you have made space for your New H2 ;) on Sat :cheesy:
120€/year, including turbo conversion :)
£263 for the pair of mine with Carole Nash. I could possibly get it cheaper but the euro breakdown that's inckuded did get me home last year (eventually) so seems a decent price.
Oh & it includes business use on both too, along with 3pts last september.
I argued with Carol Nash and they came down from £257 to £166 for the same fully comp cover .
I went with mce because It was only £101 with cash back and I'm with them for the modified gsx1400
I might shop around next year, but they only added £4 for the 3pts which I was happy about.
I also have 3 points
They will be off just after next year's renewal unfortunately but still count for the insurance for another 2 after that.
I forget* to tell them after 3 years, fuck 'em if they aren't counted then that's good enough for me.
Points eh? So how many do you need to accumulate before you loose your licence? 10? If you attract 3-5 points in 1 go, how long are they on your licence for? 2 years? What if you accumulate so many you loose your licence, how long do you loose it for & is the counter reset to zero after that?
Our system is out of 100. ya get 10 for this, 20 for that & 50 for being very bad. The points stay on for 2 years after accumulating them. If you manage to score 100 or more, you loose your licence for 6 months & the counter resets to zero. Sometimes it's better to take a 6 month hit then start again - well, so I'm told anyway, I've still got mine, been close a few times but now I ride slower n I have a buddy with me. (TPX2 Radar Detector!)
Some people like listening to the radio, I don't. I like listening to the joyful warble the TPX2 makes when it's found a speed trap ahead & occasionally I'm lucky enough to get the high pitched panic opera of a Laser gun ahead. I love those sounds - I always slow down so I pass them slowly & get to enjoy them longer. . . :stir: :whistling: :rofl2:
@KiwiCol Point come in groups of 2-4 but mostly 3's for getting court going just over the limit.
For speeding and the likes of minor offences.
If you get to a total of 12 Can get band for short time (weeks/couple months) or longer time (upto 12months) under a totting up thing depending on what you were doing.
These points count as part of the fitting up for 3 years but they stay on our licences for 4 years and the insurance companies count them (to put there prices up each year )
I used to forget like
@Hooli to tell the insurance but they do check and I got a nasty letter a few years ago asking for more cash or they would cancel my insurance .
We now tell them about anything that could affect things (points , old accidents again upto 5 years ago and medical stuff.)
Now I'm getting old as are the gsx's the insurance's aren't to bad .
In NSW Australia the insurance check your licence automatically before issuing a green slip or insurance policy.

The only problem with that plan is that a lot of companies will take your word for it until you make a claim, then they check and if you have lied they do not pay out and your insurance is made invalid.
