Title: Motorbike trousers suitable for work?
Post by: VladTepes on Monday, 25 February 2019, 09:45 AM
Apparently wearing bike jeans to work (in an office where I never see customers/clients etc) isn't 'professional'

Anyway rather than have to drag two sets of clothes around and change, I'm looking for some 'work compatible' trousers which still offer protection for riding.

Someone has pointed me to these:
https://dragginjeans.net/collections/men/products/chino
which look great (aside from giant yellow tag at the back) but aren't cheap. And the tightarses don't even include the knee armour for that price!

Some comments on them:
QuoteI used to wear the Draggin Chinos and they were OK in the office, but back in the day they were a pretty rough and square cut design which also faded way to fast.
QuoteYes I read that about the Draggin chinos fading way too fast

QuoteI wear the draggin chino's. I've even come off the bike in the wet on them and went straight out to buy a new pair. The chino's are cut fairly clean, but the normal jeans are quite square. Never had them fade - but don't wash them too often :)

So I'm interested if anyone knows what's out there in this style of clothing, and especially those who wear such gear.

Thanks.

Can you not wear something like armoured textiles over your trousers?

Well I could but that's essentially wearing a mobile pants sauna here in summer.

Sure it's an option, just not my preferred option.

Take a few pairs of appropriate pants into work and leave them there - just get them dry cleaned locally. That is what I used to do.

Then it won't matter as much when you get soaking wet!!

Vlad, just wear what most riders wear in Brisbane. Shorts. Does that drive you crazy/ annoy the shit out of you. Does me. Then theres the girlie pillion, short skirt and singlet top. I cringe.

I bought two pairs of Shark chinos (kevlar lined) on the weekend. Will see how they go.

So far today I've noticed they are more comfortable than wearing jeans with armour in ll day BUT do seem hotter.
