Apparently, some of the folk who live up the local mountains aren't huge fans of motorcycles. There were a LOT of bikes up there this morning.

Totally agree Steve. Bloody madness! Wonder what his beef is anyway? Probably can't ride & doesn't like anyone who can.
There's a LOT of bikes up there this time of year.
It's a very popular area.
Lots of sportsbikes with race pipes,
lots of Harley's with straight through pipes.
I stopped at the lookout a few hundred yards from where this took place,
countless bikes left the car park and went off out of sight on the back wheel.... :whistling:
Where this took place is the fastest stretch of road leading into the best set of bends on the mountain.
Its an area I normaly stay away from recently.
Too many cops and too many crashes.
This was one of our more sporty rides over the same roads a while back.
We had 3 bad crashes before lunch !

As a tangent:
Yeah I was there one day, this guy on a Kwaka (he'd just finished rebuilding it the night before) tried to get up on the back wheel as he headed up the road. He didn't manage, so he gave it another go - cracked the throttle and massively overcooked it. He ended up in a ditch (injured but ok) bike went across the road, narrowly missing another bike riding past, and ended up in the opposite ditch written off. They walk (ride) among us.
As for gravel man. Just like the people who supposedly pour oil on the roads - lock 'em up !
There have been a few incidents of people putting wire across the road in the Royal National park.
The culprits should be burnt at the stake.
