Got to Taumaranui before it started to really rain. Had to be very careful lots of water running across the road, a few slips and quite a bit of rockfall.
A bit of an adventure !!

The morning has dawned fine the track is dry and practice is underway  :onya:

Peter Hickman is fast, very fast. He won the feature race the "Robert Holden Memorial"
Nice guy too, spent a lot ot of time signing shirts and talking to people.

Fabulous days racing.

My kit is dried out ready for tomorrows ride home.
They shut the road yesterday because of the slips so l  was lucky to get through before that happened.

Got home late last evening. Finished up doing quite a big detour to take a fellow biker home.
He had binned his Ducati HyperMotard on a back road. He hit a slump in the road which he said launched him across the road and onto the vergeand his bike into a fence. Farmer gave him a lift to where I picked him up hitch hiking on state highway 4. He was sore but said his bike wasnt good. Poor bugger.
