After sitting on our arses and doing nothing but get rid of plants over the last 5 years, we've started putting some beds in.
Have done one down the side of the front fence and will be doing another in front of the house probably this weekend.
Material is a steel designed to rust on the surface for effect (doesn't rust all the way through - protected under surface layer)

Will take a picture of the actual bed once it has some soil in it. :)
The garden we've done so far will be plated with a few Hibiscus Rio Clara "Peach Melba" and some smaller contrasting plants in front.

FUCK ME! That's one big mole in the second picture!! I reckon he's digging an underground garage for his bike! Hey at least he's fertilising some really good flowers there though
No gardeners here . . . I'd have green painted concrete if I had my way.
I like gardens Vlad.........
Did like the "Mole" in Thunderbirds. :onya:
That's not a nice way to refer to a young lady in a T-bird :whistling: :rofl2: :happy1:
I grow chillies, several types from Birds Eye up to Carolina Reapers, I have a couple of good lime trees, I made a covered garden bed to keep the possums out of my parsley and other herbs. I keep most of the back garden pretty low maintainence and so I can let the hens roam free when I'm home. I do have several geraniums on the front of the house to pretty it up.
All my family are farmers or professional gardeners in the UK so I'm looking forward to getting a few acres so I can scale up considerably.
Yes, I've heard possums like herbs . . . :smoke: :whistling:
Thats why they have red eyes Col.
Vlad, gardens are easy. Our climate they just love. My garden is quite good, more plants than Bunnings. Just plant, no bloody fertilizers etc needed. We have a tomato plant that grew its self, over 300 so far last few months. Plan a trip to my place, you can have cuttings, bulbs etc. They cost too much to buy. I could list what we have but would be boring. Most look good at different times. My view on plants is, if they die, bad luck, get something else. Pruning is a big requirment, dont mind doing that. will try to post a few pics from out front, have some other nice ones down back. You are welcome to come and choose for your garden.
Champion grog, cheers.
Swap some pots for the 6 potters :happy1:
My missus is often swapping plants with her friends. Great way to get some new bits and pieces. Some were tiny, now very healthy :onya:
First bed finished, just needs mulch.. oh and some plants :)

Very rewarding creating and planting a new garden Vlad. :clapping:
@Tony Nitrous you said you "have a couple of good lime trees"
I'm looking for some small / compact lime and lemon trees. Any ideas?
Well, yes, but 2000k over 4 days on a solo ride is even more rewarding. Mick might be in need of some "leg exercise", but, he'll have to mulch & plant first then get some ready lawn down & keep it watered before any leg exercising is gonna be contemplated. :happy1:
Just mow the weeds Mick, it eventually turns green all over!
Something to aspire to Mike. Shanghai, huge plant sculpture.
That's quite something !
Since Pot was legalized here, everyone is a gardener!

Very impressive 👍
I'm a succulent man.
Well after MANY hours of my Christmas break wasted spent digging through clay, installing edging, shovelling soil etc, this is what we've ended up with.
I must say I'm pretty happy with the outcome. :boogie2:
