Title: Stolen/Found
Post by: froudy on Thursday, 29 November 2018, 06:56 PM
This has just popped up on Facebook.
Reg DU02ZXB. Skelmersdale area.
I'm assuming that it's been stolen and parked up to see if it's got a tracker fitted as per usual by the scrotes stealing bikes. It's common practice.

It looks familiar..Belong to anyone on here?
It's the seat...I'm positive someone on here bought the bike recently and posted the pics on here..I just can't find it at the mo.

That bike was on eBay within the past 4 months.

@stollydriver
I know I've seen it somewhere online recently..I thought it was on here.

On a brighter note, the bike has been recovered and is back with it's owner. I still don't know who it is though.

what sort of tracker?

There are a lot of trackers available Vlad. The scrotes park the bikes up and leave them in a prominent position. If they are recovered quickly they know a vehicle tracker was fitted and just move onto stealing another bike. If the bike is still in the same place they left it after a few hours/days they take it knowing that it wasn't tracked.
I personally use a CanTrack tracker on mine. It isn't wired to the bikes loom, so is easily hidden and hard for anyone to find and rip out. Also it only "Wakes up" if the bike is stolen. This makes it impossible to use a scanner on it to see if a tracker has been fitted. Once reported stolen CanTrack turn it on to full GPS tracking mode and would locate the bike very quickly.
