Title: Never Move Here
Post by: grog on Saturday, 17 November 2018, 06:57 PM
Where i live is a challenge. Today was super warm, tonight thunderstorms even i cant believe. 37mm of rain in 30 minutes. Temperature dropped from 32 to 16, very cold for nearly summer. Rain is still pouring down, have ugg boots and sox on, cold. we have a snake bad year, over 4x as usual. pic is bad one from newspaper, eastern brown, very agro snake, actually will chase you, them and taipan are only two breeds that will. power bills get huge, air con needed, bloody pool maintenance is hard work and costs. weed spray is costly and labour intensive. so if you northeners think we get it easy, think again.

Hmmmm   still considering, Mrs doesn't like the Fauna either Grog.    You guys got lotsa bugs over there that we don't, but also great beaches & LOTS of roads.

We got rid off all our snakes hundreds of years ago.

Col, you have as much land mass as the UK but with the same population as Manchester - your roads MUST be safer, you have mountains as good, if not better, than the UK, your beaches are stunning, your air is literally the freshest on earth, you are in the garden of Eden.

Grass. Greener.

When your telling the Poms not to move here, ask them what their fuel cost today.

I couldnt be arsed driving to Costco or shopping around.
Coles Servo at the end of my street is never the cheapest but regular unleaded is down to $1:19.4c a ltr.   I think that's 67.4p a ltr.

..... then what if we tell them the forecast for this week.
An overnight lowest temp of 18 degrees C. A daytime high of 35 C.

I wonder what the UK is around now?

Went out for a really nice ride yesterday on my Ducati, it was only 7 degrees but dry so had a great ride.  Its 7 again today and still dry so will be going out for another ride today, rest of the week is going to be wet so get it in while I can.  I have decent kit so I wasn't that cold.
