A morbid but constantly tropical subject. -Death.
I have lived, what at best, could be described as a "interesting" life.
It has involved a lot of deaths, a few lives, a lot of questionable actions (my decisions or others) and a whole lot of shit in between.
Ultimately it led to me reading a "whole shit of religious media".
Good points: I lost my hate of other people due to their religion. Bad points: what the fuck is it all about?
Of all that I read , if you combine Budasim and the Science of Energy, we definately must (or I) must consider the movement of Energy from one plane to the next.
Yet, today, for the first time, my reasoning has been put to the test. My mother, at 81, has been taken into hospice, after home palientative care, the end is imminent.
For all I believe:
For fuck sake!!!.
I am sorry, but I had to say this somewhere. PLEASE no sympathy, just understand that, no matter what your faith, it is OK to question your own belief, to question yourself, but know, that despite the grief, all is as it should be.
Having been " dry" for 2 months, fuck it. Aftef 3/4 of a bottle of Malt, I am venting my heart..
Sorry guys, but this is often the most rational place for conversation. Accept my apologies for bringing the fun level down -Vlad - remove if inappropriate.
I lost 3 mates on 3 different rides in one year.
That made me stop and have a think about which way my life should be going.
I bought another bike.
Many years ago, I heard a saying, and it stuck with me.
"Whatever I die from it won't be boredom"
You're among friends Lil, no prob here, vent n let rip as required. :onya:
Pretty good bunch here Lil. Speak how you feel because thats how life is. Life is made up of many different emotions. Having people to lean on can make the tough times a little more bearable.
Our thoughts are with you.
It's something we all have to go through at some stage and I'm sure most here have had the same thoughts as you sometime in their life, I know I have.
Most of us here are at an age where we have lost someone dear to us. My mother died 2 years ago just shy of 82. It was of some comfort to me that we had a last talk hours before her passing.
Most of my life I was the religious type. Six years ago I "converted" to being an agnostic. The question of the meaning of life has been silenced for me. Experiencing life is meaning enough for me.
P.S. It would have made my mom very happy to know that I have a 14 again :)
Cheers guys, it means a lot.
Personally I have been an atheist for a long time, but for me that doesn't mean life is pointless.
I think we are like stones thrown in a pond. Some make a bigger splash than others, but we all leave ripples that spread out and touch everything.
As we journey through our lives,
We all take separate paths.
Sometimes they're filled with sorrow,
Other times they're full of laughs.
There's no exact destination,
We just follow where it goes.
We travel until our journey ends,
When that is, nobody knows
:)
Some profound stuff here guys....
Lil... we all have the right to consider ourselves to be unique... and there is absolutely nothing wrong in expressing that! Many of us will be able to empathise with what you are going through, but none of us will be affected in the same way by the circumstances you have right now. Keep going buddy... it does get better on the other side... no matter what you do or don't believe or have faith in. :onya:

Nothing at all inappropriate about it mate. You're right though, often a forum of internet 'mates' is a good place to lighten the burden somewhat.
Keep on keeping on mate.
How you doing Lil.

How you doing Lil.
Doing ok thanks, family being their normal shits, booked a ferry back and all messing me around over everything so booked myself into a hotel.
First one to make a single cocky remark will also be staying in the hospital. I am lucky I don't live near them as I would be breaking a few heads. At least when this is all over I have no need or reason to have contact with them again. Only family would see a grim time like this to score points, I will have to rise above it whilst I am there, but believe me, I will give them some home truths before I return home.
On the flip side, all my old friends have heard about my mother and have all offered help, many are visiting her until I get back. As the saying goes, "you can chose your friends, but you can't chose your family"
Pleased you're doing ok. Its a tough time Lil ..........yep family can be a worry.
I have two brothers. One always has his hand out but never offers a hand.
True friends are hard to find but they are always there when you need them.
