Evening all I need a little help I have fitted an 07 engine into my 05 gsx everything was going well till I attempted to put in in gear it kept stalling when I put it on the Center stand it goes into gear but when you pull the clutch it keeps going
The push rod from the slave is moving in and out I have changed the clutch hose for a hel one there doesn't seem to be any air in it I am at a total loss any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Dan
Sounds like your clutch plates are sticking.
Was the 07 engine stored dry or for left a while?
Yeah was sitting for a bit any quick fix for it
Stamp on the rear brake with it running & in gear while you hold the clutch in. A few shocks like that often free the plates up.
Will give it a go
Other thing to try is remove the clutch slave cylinder push the piston in and hold it in with a G clamp or even cable ties .
And try rebleeding it that way as your trying to bleed the clutch while also pushing the clutch springs .
I find it much easier to bleed the clutch like this .
Good luck

I think I have all the air out I have a vacuum bleeder but will check again
Cheers
Vacuum pumps are good to get things started but I always finish off and bleeding by hand the old fashioned way as sometimes the pump can be too efficient and sucks air back In to the system if the bleed nipple is open just a little to much.

Got it sorted ran it on the stand for 10 min up and down thru the gear took it down the toad clutch perfect
Cheers for the advice much appreciated
Great stuff well done glad it's all sorted now
