Saw this the other day, as we approached from behind I thought this caravan was driving itself.
Definately not for me. A little research showed it is actually a Peugeot running gear so basically sod all to do with being a bike, just made to look like one.
My question is "why would you ??"
Can't see the point of a bike you can't filter on, might as well have a car. All the disadvantages of a bike + all the disadvantages of a car in one lump and no advantages.

My view exactly... if its 'fresh air' he wanted he could have just wound a window down ffs!
All the disadvantages of a car and all the disadvantages of a motorcycle .
Can't see the point if the rider is fit enough to ride a bike .If the rider is not able to ride a bike then fair enough if it gives them the freedom they need.
As for the trailer tent thing how much crap do you really need to take with you on a solo trip.
Belgians, nuff said.
Don't knock the Belgians

Living in Belgium would make me invent beer too!
You have to admit their beer and pommes are pretty damn good though
Honestly I've never been there long enough to find a good dark beer, I'm not a lager/pils fan at all.
Hooli.... dint know what you are missing mate. Would be a good excuse for a trip over :happy1:
:rofl2:
I don't normally stop till I'm much further south, it's safer that way as long as I avoid frogshire.
The beer is worth a few days stop over .we did a rally and a couple of extra nights in Belgium this summer .
They have 4 really good Belgian beers on draft at the rally .
In Bruges there is a pub that has 3000 Belgian beers available .
You only need to head towards froggyville but turn left before you get there .
I'm much more of a Flanders fan than the French speaking wallonians there a strange lot almost French but not French.
Very confusing so I stick with the Flemish speaking folk as my Dutch friends hang about in that part of Belgium too.
Some of their beers are wickedly strong tho Seth... as I'm sure you'll testify :rofl2:
Well I for one will defend the French.
I met a lot more tossers when I lived in the UK. :stir:
Beer made by monks they know thier stuff alright
@lil4399 there are dickheads everywhere but I'm sorry I'm not keen on France at all .
Maybe because I speak a bit of German and a very little Dutch.
:whistling:
Apart from a couple of "minor spats" in the 20th century, :P the French and Germans get on really well. Even more so now the Brits are leaving the party.
Here we go.....
Oh did I miss something
:stir: :whistling:
I'm in. Didn't a boat blow up in Auckland Harbour a few years back........
Now who did that........riddup
That's true Col! :coffeescreen: something about rainbows and warriors if I recall correctly...
Something in the press about admitting to torturing folk recently.... and given their history with a guillotine... well.. nuff said!

A misjudgement I think.
Apparently the French soldiers were just visiting Aukland because they heard it had a beautiful harbour. :whistling:

Hang on, Austria, that rings a bell, now if I can only remember who it was came from there.... :stir: :stir:
Might live in Austria... but I'm Scottish and proud of it :hat:
Austrians seem to do a good job of 'avoiding' responsibility for many things... usually under the banner of neutrality...
@lil4399 ... similar to those Russian bods who liked Salisbury cathedral? :whistling:

Actually it's a little bit worse than just that.
The French Govt used state sponsored terrorists to destroy the rainbow warrior, killing the photographer they didn't realise was on board. Then when those terrorists were captured, the French Govt then threatened to collapse the New Zealand economy if those terrorists weren't returned to France for sham trial and an Island Holiday.
Because of those actions I do not concern myself when I hear of terrorist acts committed in France, it's just a case of what goes around comes around.
As for the Topic matter I have no issues with a side car and trailer, although I don't like riding side cars but I have my eye on a Canam or similar for the future. Hardcore Motorcyclists don't sell their souls by getting a car licence and scurrying to their trolleys whenever someone turns a sprinkler on. I'd rather ride in the wet than be a Cage-dweller.

This is why I try to avoid holidays nowadays, wrong place & wrong time and you get the blame for anything. Look what happened to Sadam Hussain after a stag weekend with the boys in Kuwait.....
