Have decided to get some renthal bars in Gold - I want to keep my custom bar ends so can you buy the expanding bungs? or buy some with bungs and swop them? advise please guys :smile2:
Renthals are a different internal diameter than std bars. It's possible to modify the fitting so you can use std bar ends on Renthals, I did. I did this mainly as it was too expensive (for what they are) to buy the Renthal ends from down here.
I use standard bar ends on aftermarket handlebar. I cut two pieces from old acetilene/oxygen torch rubber hose (smaller than std) that fits tight in handlebar and reused standard bolts and nuts. No problem at all!
You can use same method to fit your custom bar ends.

Good solution mlivkovich! :clapping:

My bars are quite wide, and so are the stock bar ends. In the past I've ran slim alloy moto-x bar ends. Hard to tell any difference as a rider. You can use any bar end on any bars, you just make, mod or buy the internals to suit.
4 of my bikes have Renthals 789's, I think various bikes have Renthals alloy bar ends, stock Suzuki bar ends and heavy steel ones made to take bar end mirrors that I've turned upside down to hide the hole. All are fine for me. Never found getting them to fit or vibration on big IL4's to be an issue.
