Title: Braided lines manufacturer
Post by: Jeykey on Monday, 20 August 2018, 10:23 PM
Going to change rubber lines for braided ones on my K5, any recommended brands, Hel, Wezmoto,... ? Any suggestion/ tip when doing the change ? Besides maybe the nipples for steel ones; although mine haven´t got rounded heads yet. Are the HEL stainless steel nipples equivalent to Probolt or worse ? Prices are very different. Regarding the Hel lines, which is the rear ref, HBR7222 or HBR7221 ? Stiil waiting for their response. Can´t find the difference. And brake oil DOT4, any brand ? Much appreciated.

Besides all the heat my 14 liberates these days and I hate heat, still a great bike to continue investing on.

I've got HEL stainless kit on 1 bike and goodridge kit on the other(came fitted when I got the bike) both look great and after loads of miles later show no signs of corrosion.
I guess the ones you get are ones with the finish you like.

Seems like: HBR7221 is clutch and HBR7222 is rear brake.

Sorry, I made a mistake.
Correction:
Clutch line is HBC7221 (third letter is "C")
Rear Brake is HBR7221 and HBR7222

I also had both HEL and Goodridge, and cant remember any issues having with them. But I have to admitt, my bike's were outside only during late spring till early autumn, and never sees winter condition.

Thanks. Received email from HEL today. It´s the same stuff. Their response: "There is actually no physical difference between the rear lines for those two part numbers. It's just that HBR7221 corresponds to HBF7221 (3-line OEM style front kit), and HBR7222 corresponds with HBF7222 (2 full-length "race" style lines kit). "
