Not sure what year it was - maybe a late model one. Was blue and white with some red on tank too IIRC.
Looked pretty much original - wheelbarrow exhausts, rubber brake lines and all.
No idea what price they sold it for.
In any event, I hope the new owner finds their way here :)
Yep, it's an 08.

K7 "model" even if it was sold in 2008 I think.
Isn't a "wheelbarrow" twin pipes like an older model.
Nice bike either way.
What's the cable / red thing going down the frame and under the right hand side?

Not sure - looking at the next picture in the series, one can see it going up behind the battery box. I'm wondering if it's some form of battery immobiliser as the routing makes no sense otherwise.
Might be the power wire for an electric turbo? Or a very small fire hose?
There are some switches/ sensors down low at the front, perhaps the originals got busted off & a handy person has fixed it? As ya say, there's nothing much there that requires a power supply. It's an odd place to have it anyway.
I saved a copy of a couple of those pics & enlarged them. The silver / red bits would appear to be a protective coating on that part of the 'cable'. The line is cable tied to the frame running up behind the headers & disappears behind the oil cooler. Further looking shows there is something non standard on the handlebars with a 'pipe /cable' of approx. the same size coming off it & would appear to be part of the same thing.
Control for a Scot oiler maybe? Never seen one so don't know what they look like.
It's an odd way to route something instead of going under the tank.
Found more pics, there's an aftermarket gauge of some sort on the bars in front of the rev counter. Doubt it'd be boost, so Vaccum gauge or the like? It's heading back towards the airbox & would explain the routing, but why would you want to know that?
beautiful bike. it has a cannon on rhs rear so maybe has an electric cannon on front, blows harleys out of his way.
:I think that on the triple is a gear indicator but not a gipro.

Yeah 08 as in registered then but would be a K7 model, yes.
There are 09 bikes in here in the uk I've seen 1 but it was only a k7 that was sold and registered in 2009 .
We've got a 2010 one for sale down this way at the moment

Asking $9000 NZD which is around 4½grand (Pounds)
I've never seen a GSX1400 model later than 08. I've seen ones registered later but they were just old stock 06, 07, 08 bikes that had sat around unsold.
I've compliance plated new cars that are 2 years old, but if I do one next week it'll have a 8/18 compliance plate and an 8/18 registration date but it's still a MY16 build and model.
My King is the other way, built, sold and registered in 07 but it's still an 08 model.
my bike 07 K7. FE were last model? were FE sold world wide?
I have had to do rust repairs on Rovers the 200 model before they were even sold new......lots of them had rust repairs done.
My 1400 was registered in 2010. Must have a look at the build date..

Suzuki called the K5, K6 and K7 "Final Editions", the only difference across all of them was the paintwork grog. Sold in all markets that the GSX1400 was sold in to the best of my knowledge.
Due to European emission laws, 2007 was the last year that Suzuki imported and sold the GSX1400 in the UK and Europe marketplace. However, it was able to continue importing and selling the model to the Australian and New Zealand market and brought out a "final final edition" with special paintwork and decals for these markets to signify the last year of GSX1400 production and sales anywhere in the world.
Designated the GSX1400 Special Edition 2008, the model featured exclusive paintwork and decals on the tank, side panels, tailpiece and front fender, together with the cam ends on the engine blacked out and dark blue wheels.
So K5/6/7 - "Final Edition". K8 - "final final edition" but termed "Special Edition".

Yeah. Officially the "Special Edition", unofficially the true "Final Edition" but don't tell the Pom's that, they think their earlier not-so-Final-Editions are real and get excited because they get a sticker.... :stir:
You are such a tease Mr Nitrous :rofl2:
(and those stickers are worth a lot of money on eBay :onya:)
It's all in the sticker. Maybe I should get a "Final Edition" sticker for my K2. :coffeescreen:
We often do the final finish on brand new cars coming into Australia. Sometimes this may mean adding a badge that only this country or a certain model gets. We have a lot of badges in stock.
Recently as we left work I was following a workmate in his old Toyota Corolla.
On the boot it said....
Corolla
Platinum
Limited.
AO Edition
Special
4x4
Turbo
Sport
+
:rofl2:
well im feeling a bit left out now  ..... mines a final edition and i dont have a sticker :whatever:
WHERE'S MY STICKER !!! :furious:
So are ours i never fitted the stickers .
It just so happens that I've got two of the final edition stickers in my docs folder ,I paid £20 each for them ,but I'm hangin on to them cos they will be worth about £4 grand each in a couple of years,,,,gulp,
Wow I was unaware about the importance of the sticker! It's well known that stickers add horsepower, so this sticker must make the bike really fast.
Is a black bike with a final edition sticker faster than a blue n white bike? :stir:

Now you're being silly, you know that can't be :whistling:
I'm mid stripping the blue and white bike to do major upgrades on it .
I'm thinking of fitting all the bodywork on my red/black bike so it's faster .
:stir:
:happy1:
Im thinking its about time i got some first edition stickers made up for my k2 :whistling:
